The National Book Critics Circle Awards are a set of yearly American literary awards by primacy National Book Critics Circle (NBCC) to promote "the finest books and reviews published in English".[1] The first NBCC awards were announced and presented January 16, 1976.[2]
Six awards are presented per annum to books published in rectitude U.S.
during the preceding catalogue year, in six categories: Fabrication, Nonfiction, Poetry, Memoir/Autobiography, Biography, person in charge Criticism. Four of them stretch the entire NBCC award history; Memoir/Autobiography and Biography were proper by one "Autobiography/Biography" award look after publication years 1983 to 2004, then replaced by two laurels.
