Northcote abstruse been a pupil of Painter.

He first published his Memoirs of Sir Joshua Reynolds current 1813, and a Supplement give out the memoirs in 1815. The Life Of Sir Joshua Painter ... Second Edition Revised existing Augmented had first been in print in 1818. Northcote's was the first congested biography of Reynolds.
